I Trademark Theeâ„¢

I had a most interesting today. Really, I did… I spent a good portion of it working on updating user documentation for our software. For the first, oh, 10 minutes it was actually sort of entertaining. You know, a break from the usual, test functionality, uninstall, reinstall to testing something else, reboot computer, wait, test something else routine. Well, after that got boring too, I decided to have fun reading up on all these trademarks, copyrights and registered things companies have nowadays. It seems like just about anything can be bought. I mean Intel has BunnyPeopleâ„¢ trademarked. Like, really, what is that? And Coreâ„¢ (used in the context of a CPU I’m sure it would have to be) is also, you guessed it, trademarked by Intel. I then proceeded to take a gander at the intellectual property that Microsoft, Apple, and IBM possess. There are so many. It’s a wonder there aren’t more lawsuits about this sort of thing, if you thought there already was a lot.

I have a confession to make. I’ve started to watch TV again. Yes, that doesn’t sound like much, but I hadn’t actually sat there and watched a full episode of anything on TV in longer than I can clearly remember. Maybe it was back in the summer. Anyways, it doesn’t really matter. What matters is that there are a lot of good shows on nowadays it seems. At least way more than back in the day when maybe a couple sitcoms were okay. But now you’ve got shows like Smallville, Prison Break, 24, Lost, etc. I know some of those shows are quite old already, but I’m just finding out about them and I like what I see. Will definitely have to acquire some of them.

Okay, I guess it’s time for another confession. I loaded up Rome Total War on the weekend for the first time in over a month. Now if you know me, you’ll know how much I love that game. I had several hours of pure bliss, hacking away with huge armies. I’m proud to say I routed a large Macedonian army at my gates with quite a bit less troops. Those thousands of enemy hoplites were nothing I tell you! 🙂

Oh Justin wants to know about my life. Ummm… well, it seems like I’m starting to grow a little more facial hair a little more quickly. What else. Oh, I chipped my retainer cause I hadn’t worn it for like two weeks on end. My teeth apparently moved quite a lot in that time and so when I snapped it in, a little piece fell off of it. That’s probably not too good. Oh, no one other than Justin would really see any importance in this, but I moved to the second floor of E4 and I’m staying here for the next semester. I guess the person who used to be in this room (who had the room right under Graham?) isn’t coming back next semester. So I’m one floor closer to the third, but still not quite there, unfortunately.
