Since some form of normalcy has returned to my life, I’ve been trying to get myself into some form of routine. Work terms are really killer on the discipline. There’s not much to do after a work day’s done, so it’s easy and in many ways okay to just laze around. Unfortunately, that sort of mentality has dire effects at university. The transition between the work term and study term is always difficult. Of course that resolution I made before the semester has already been broken. However, I’m trying to catch up on all my courses this weekend. The thing is, we’re actually expected to employ concepts we’ve learned in previous semesters, not to mention the fact that concepts from different courses are beginning to intertwine. The horror.
I need to get into the habit of not wasting so much time. I don’t even want to think about how much time I spend, perusing the internet of computer-related things. Much more than I should, that’s for sure. Oh, and I’ve got another distraction, Team Fortress 2. I pre-ordered the Valve Orange Box off of Steam and so got the beta of TF2; in retrospect, perhaps I shouldn’t have. I’ve been having a blast playing it. Too much fun. I’ll have to watch myself on that as well.
What else is new… I ate sushi for the very first time earlier this evening. I’ve never liked seafood, so raw fish was… interesting. My illness also seems to be progressing. I can feel my body’s energy being siphoned away. I think it may be time for sleep. Night all.
