The date has been set and the tickets are booked; I’m Prince Edward Island bound upon the completion of my work semester. I wrote about some preliminary plans about a week ago, but they’ve been finalized now. I ended up booking tickets directly into Charlottetown airport, as opposed to Moncton, New Brunswick. Although it’s quite a bit more expensive, I think it’s for the best, with regard to timing, convenience and everything in between.
I can hardly believe this spur-of-the-moment trip is actually panning out. These things rarely work, so I’m very excited that I’ll be back home in less than two weeks. I’m looking forward to seeing old friends and familiar surroundings. The trip will be short, so I’ll have to make the most of my time. I am already setting aside some time to simply walk aimlessly. I really miss being able to walk everywhere.
In the meantime, I’ll have to get cracking on my work term report. Fortunately, the project I proposed to my supervisor (and was accepted) will form a great basis for the work report. I’ve already passed the idea by him and he didn’t have any qualms with turning it into my work report. What a way to kill two birds with one stone – I give the company something they find valuable and at the same time I can satisfy the University of Waterloo E&CE department’s stringent report requirements.
