Ever since the initial DOJ investigation against Microsoft, I've been a staunch supporter of Microsoft. If they really wanted to level the playing field and reduce Microsoft's monopoly, they've failed miserably. Microsoft still holds a monopoly by any standard in the OS market. And how do their rulings help competition thrive? Why don't they let capitalism thrive - may the best man / web browser / media player win? I don't use IE for my browser even though it's bundled and I use Zune as my media player even though it's NOT bundled. The best software will ultimately win as long as it provides the necessary services that the user base requires - which may mean IE for grandma since she just needs to check her e-mail.

And after all's said and done - why doesn't Opera (or Netscape) make it's own operating system?
